House Rules

We believe that mutual respect is essential for a positive experience.

 

Please take a moment to familiarize yourself with our rules to ensure harmonious atmosphere for all.

I. General Rules

​

Prohibited in the dormitory:

 

  • Illegal drugs, weapons, flammable materials, firearms, or any illegal items under law

  • Unauthorized furniture placement, installation of appliances/cables

  • Throwing objects or liquids from windows

  • Causing damage to building, furniture, equipment, or illegal modifications

  • Smoking or vaping (rooms have smoke detectors)

  • Pets

  • Driving/parking vehicles on sidewalks (parking available for a fee, first come first serve)

  • Disturbing public order (excessive noise, musical instruments, disturbing sleep, etc.)

  • Cooking inside rooms (microwave/oven toaster available at 6/F lounge)

  • Resident responsibilities:

  • Keep rooms, common areas, and surroundings clean

  • Avoid leaving electrical appliances unattended

  • Use water and electricity economically

  • Observe fire safety and environmental protection

  • Maintain cleanliness and prevent damage to facilities

  • Take care of RFID cards (lost cards replaced for a fee; lending prohibited)

  • Dress appropriately and decently; public display of intimate affection prohibited

II. Visitors

​

  • Allowed between 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM with valid ID at reception

  • Not allowed beyond ground floor (rooms remain private)

  • Must follow contract terms and house rules

​

III. Fire Safety

​

  • Smoking forbidden

  • Stoves and heat/smoke-producing devices forbidden in rooms

  • Penalty for deliberate/unnecessary fire alarm activation or alarms triggered by smoking/devices

 

IV. Cleanliness and Sanitation

 

Rooms:

  • Beddings not included (available for a fee)

  • Large bins per floor near elevators; dispose garbage regularly

  • Residents must maintain room cleanliness; cleaning services available for a fee

  • Toilet/shower must be cleaned regularly; flush properly; avoid clogging drains

  • Store perishable goods properly to avoid pests

Common Areas:

  • Dormitory responsible for hallways, lounge, jacuzzi, gym, and common bathrooms

  • Avoid vandalism and unauthorized postings; use community boards (6/F and G/F lounges)

 

V. Maintenance and Repairs

 

  • Use furniture, appliances, and fixtures properly

  • Dormitory responsible for major repairs (wear and tear, structural defects)

  • Residents financially responsible for minor repairs due to negligence/fault

  • Report damages immediately to staff

  • No additions, alterations, or improvements allowed

 

VI. Leased Premises

​

  • Use exclusively for residential purposes (no sub-leasing, business, or commercial activity)

  • No illegal, immoral, or commercial activities

  • Must be free from disturbing noises, toxic substances, odors, nuisances, and illegal drugs

  • No flammable/explosive goods or hazardous materials

  • No pets or live animals (dogs, cats, birds, reptiles, fish, etc.)

  • Premises must remain smoke-free (including vaping/e-cigarettes)
